Bio

Jeff Morrow has been influenced by some of the 19th century artists and the best of today’s masters. A ful- time artist since 2006, he primarily focuses on portraiture, sporting art and urban scenes. Morrow gained an aesthetic education during his 28-year career as a commercial photographer and video producer. He describes his style as painterly realism. Though rooted in the classic tradition, his style is contemporary in spirit.

Although the goal of a successful portrait is to create a good likeness and capture the essence of the subject, Morrow works to create paintings that are pleasing on their own merit. He strives to create paintings that convey a sense of the moment and that bring out the beauty in everyday scenes. He hopes his work will stand the test of time and be treasured by future generations.

Jeff Morrow resides in the Cincinnati area and is a member of The Portrait Societyof America, Oil Painters of America, The American Academy of Equine Art, The MacDowell Society of Cincinnati, and is a Signature Member of the Cincinnati Art Club.

He is represented by the Eisele Gallery of Fine Art in Cincinnati, Ohio.
