An initial meeting will be arranged at the subject's home or another agreed upon location. At this meeting, the basic composition of the portrait (size, pose, clothing type, tone, background, and lighting) will be determined and a series of photographs taken. This photo session takes approximately one and one-half hours. At a later meeting the photos are analyzed and the final decision made as to pose and tone of the painting. Sometimes, additional photos may be taken.
Upon completion of the painting, a meeting is arranged for delivery of the portrait. Posthumous portraits can be created using available photographs if the artist deems them suitable for reference.
The artist will create the portrait and carry out reasonable requested alterations consistent with his conception and established style.
Paintings are done in oil paints on linen canvas.
